You don't have to TRY to be present. That's your natural state.
Unless we as social change agents come from a certain spirituality, we're likely to do more harm than good. - Marshall Rosenberg
@Spirituality for me right now is really asking, when I'm not right or rich or respected, where is my source of security? How can I still live from a place of trust even when I feel anger and despair?

4 yếu tố của hỗ trợ hệ thống tổng thể:
1. Ăn mừng
2. Tiếc thương
3. Tầm nhìn
4. Xây dựng văn hoá/ hành động

  1. Pick a system that you would like to work with.
    1. Examples of systems: Within oneself/ A relationship that matters/ Systems like: health care, governance, ngos, education, justice, organizing, health care, peace work
  2. What’s working about the current state of this system?
    1. We have a focus, not the only focus, but an appreciation still.
  3. What’s getting in the way of making this a life-serving system? - Stick to the observing skills
  4. Visioning
  5. One specific step
  1. Extended family/ Inequality of economic opportunities
  2. What's working: my family has security, the government is still helping poor people, connect with people who're upholding the system
  3. Fear & distrust, lack of respect for the environment, numbing of pain by addiction & distraction, bureaucracy & the humongous number of employees,
    1. Connection for humanness of others. Safety from poverty & imprisonment. Urgency. Effectiveness. Hope. Take these painfully slow steps to connect. Patience.
    2. Leaders not caring enough, not brave enough, selfish. 7m, 2m strike, short-sighted, no compassion for the people oppressed. United. Superficial understanding, easily incited. Consideration. Dialogue.

@I think it's the joy of “I’m exactly where I need to be, not in the place where I think I should be, but exactly where I need to be.” I'm not out of the system enough to have more courage, not succeeding in the system enough to be proud of myself, but I'm where I don't need to struggle for living yet still can be sensitive to others' suffering.
